How to Join at a Napoleons Venue
At our venues, membership is free. There is no joining fee, no online registration for new players, no need to book ahead. You come along in person, we check your ID at the door, and the registration is usually finished in just a few minutes.
The same basic process applies right across the A & S Leisure Group Limited estate. It does not matter if you start your registration in Cleethorpes or at another active site in the chain, the membership rules line up. Our front-of-house team at the entrance takes care of everything for you - they verify your ID, enter your details into the system, create your membership record and then you are ready to walk in.
Before you set off, one thing is important. For a first visit, we only confirm two types of ID as acceptable: a valid passport or a photo driving licence. Nothing else is listed by us as suitable for the initial sign up. A bank card, a utility bill or something similar should not be treated as enough.
In practice, the sign up at Napoleons goes like this:
- Arrive at a Napoleons venue during normal opening hours.
- Go to the main reception or membership desk at the entrance.
- Let the team know that you want to join as a new member.
- Hand over your passport or photo driving licence so we can verify it.
- Our staff record the required details and open your membership record.
- We confirm that your membership has been created.
- You enter the venue and can access the gaming floor, dining areas and member benefits.
Once you have registered the first time, your membership sits in a central database that we use across all Napoleons sites. You do not have to join again if you later decide to visit a different venue in the group.
Membership Rules and When ID Comes Up Again
After that first registration, you generally come and go without showing ID on every visit. Standard entry rules apply for members. There is 1 exception that we apply across the group: if you do not visit any Napoleons venue at all for more than five years, our team will ask you for valid photo ID again before they allow access.
| Membership Stage | ID Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| First-time sign-up | Yes - passport or photo driving licence | Recorded once by staff |
| Returning member visit | No | Standard access applies |
| Return after 5+ year absence | Yes - valid photo ID | Re-verification required |
| Online member update | No new ID needed | Existing members only, via website form |
Non-members can still come into a Napoleons venue, but they play under a specific financial cap. Visitors who are not registered are limited to £1,000 across all gaming tables, roulette machines and slot machines in a single visit. The same £1,000 figure also applies when cashing out chips or tokens on that visit. Once you become a member, this visitor restriction is removed.
So if you plan a longer session or want the full member benefits, it normally makes sense to register when you arrive. There is no cost and it takes very little time at reception.
The Online Form Is Not What You Think
On our main website at napoleons-casinos.co.uk there is a section called Member Update. Inside that section you will see something described as the “Member Update Signup Form”. The name can be confusing if you have not dealt with us before. Despite the label, this form is not designed for new member registration. It exists for people who are already members and simply need to change some of the personal details we hold for them.
New customers cannot complete the Napoleons Casino Cleethorpes sign up remotely through this online form. Every new membership still has to start with a face-to-face visit to one of our venues, with valid ID in hand. The Member Update form is just a convenience tool for updating contact data or other account information for existing, active memberships.
If you already hold a membership and want to update details online, the basic flow looks like this:
- Go to napoleons-casinos.co.uk and open the Member Update page.
- Find the Member Update Signup Form within that section.
- Enter your current membership information in the fields requested.
- Submit the new or corrected details using the form.
- Give our team time to review and apply the changes in the membership database.
Where a change would require us to check ID again, we still handle that in person at a venue, not online.
